By attaching  the Kress engine the way I did
the z-axis bends in one direction when used.
I found out with heavy using the round holes become slightly oval.
My plan is  to replace the vertical plate by a 12mm thick aluminum plate.
then use the same brackets for the kress motor.

				Hey Oscar,
I have the same problem.
Also need to strengthen this for my kress.

I am now cutting and sanding the 12mm alu block.
Without an CNC machine!
I will soon post the result here.

Lets hope it brings the results I expect.
@ Chris : What do I use to glue the bearing to the lowest plate ( CA glue ? )

				Hello Oscar,
Seems you are having a lot of fun there.... :)
Upgrading the original 2001 first prototype after 13 years of service.
Thats great!
The bottom bearing does not need a seat / support and was self aligning.
Once the driveset is in position and running smooth,
you can add a drop of loctite thread locker to the edge of a bearing and
the bottom plate - if wished.
BTW, check the backlash on your delrin nuts - trapezium screws,
do minimize that with the setscrews and it will work as new.
Enjoy!

				Oscar,
Where did you get the aluminium holders for the fress that are mounted on the backplate?
I could really use those too...   yes yes..  I know. . I can mill them myself..  but I'm to lazy to do that :)

Made them myself.
If you like I can search for the Cad file.
